comparethemarket.com Migrates to MongoDB Powered Microservices

The UK’s leading insurance comparison site, comparethemarket.com, is using microservices, Docker, Kafka, and MongoDB to get new services into the hands of customers much faster than was previously possible. Originally built on rigid relational databases, comparethemarket.com enabled the shift to microservices by migrating to MongoDB Enterprise Advanced and using Ops Manager to automate much of the operations. In this video Matthew Collinge, associate director of technology and architecture at comparethemarket.com, explains why his team took this microservices approach and how it’s providing value for the business.
